Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the HR function for our real estate business. The role will cover end-to-end HR operations, talent acquisition (especially sales, site staff, back-office), employee engagement, compliance with labor laws (including those applicable to construction/real-estate), performance management, and culture building. The HR Manager will work closely with Project / Sales / Marketing / Site Operations teams to ensure the HR strategy supports business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle
- Design and implement an effective induction/onboarding process tailored to real-estate roles (sales, site, office).
- Maintain employee records, HR database, and attendance/leave management.
- Manage exits, clearances, exit interviews, and analyses attrition trends.
Performance Management & Development
- Implement a performance management system (KRAs/KPIs) aligned with business goals (especially for sales & project teams).
- Identify training and development needs (sales skills, customer service, site safety/compliance, leadership) and coordinate programmes.
- Support succession planning and career development for key talent.
Employee Relations, Engagement & Culture
- Act as HR business partner: address employee queries, grievances, conflicts, disciplinary matters with fairness and confidentiality.
- Initiate employee engagement activities, recognition programmes, team-building, reinforce company culture.
- Monitor employee satisfaction, propose improvements to retention and morale.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, Shops & Establishment, POSH, construction/date of site-related laws etc.).
- Oversee payroll inputs, benefits administration, HR policy formulation/implementation, audits, HR MIS and reporting.
- Develop HR policies and systems suitable for a real-estate business (multi-locations, site operations, sales teams).
Strategic HR & Business Partnering
- Align HR strategy with business objectives: growth, project timelines, sales targets, talent supply for upcoming projects.
- Provide HR analytics and insights to senior management (attrition, hiring cost, time-to-fill, workforce planning).
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s/MBA in HR is a plus.
- Experience: typically 5 – 10 years in HR, with at least some experience in the real estate, construction, or sales-driven industry. Recent job ads indicate 5 + years in real estate for HR Manager roles.
- Strong knowledge of HR operations, recruitment, performance management, labour laws, HR systems/HRMS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to partner with business leaders, handle fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to handle multiple sites/units (in real estate might mean project sites) and manage workforce across various roles (sales, back-office, site).

- Prior experience specifically in real-estate or construction industry.
- Exposure to multi-project/site HR management across locations.
- Experience with HR technology/HRMS setup in growing organization.
- Certifications like local Indian HR certifications.
- Ability to work in shift/site environment if needed.
