Role Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled English Language Trainer who will be responsible for teaching English (speaking, reading, writing) to learners of various levels. This role involves preparing training materials, conducting sessions (in-person and/or online), monitoring learner progress and adapting instruction to meet diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess learners’ current English proficiency (beginner / intermediate / advanced) and identify learning needs.
• Design, develop and deliver training modules for English language instruction.
• Create teaching materials such as presentations, worksheets, audio-visual resources, exercises, and assessments.
• Conduct interactive language sessions focusing on the four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
• Encourage learner participation, manage classroom dynamics and create a supportive environment for practice and improvement.
• Monitor, track and evaluate learners’ progress, provide constructive feedback and implement remedial measures when needed.
• Use technology (online platforms, audio/video tools) for virtual training sessions if applicable.
• Review feedback from learners and incorporate improvements into teaching design.
• Collaborate with other trainers and instructional design teams (if present) to align curriculum, integrate culture/context where relevant.
• Maintain records of attendance, learning outcomes, and reporting as required by the organization.
Qualifications & Skills
• Proficiency in English (native or near-native level) and good working knowledge of Hindi (or local language) for instructional support.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in English, Linguistics, Education, Language Teaching, or a related field.
• Prior experience in language teaching / training to varied learner levels is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of language-teaching methodologies, curriculum design and assessment strategies.
• Comfortable using digital tools and online platforms for teaching and resource delivery.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to motivate learners, adapt to different learning styles, and work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred / Desirable
• Experience with online or blended (in-person + virtual) language training.
• Familiarity with different English dialects/registrations (e.g., British, American) and contextual instruction.
• Experience in developing multimedia teaching materials (video, audio, infographics).
• Experience in teaching non-native English learners.
